Welcome to Sons of the Beach
A Special Message from Paul Zimmerman, SOB President
Thank you for visiting our new Sons of the Beach Website. We hope you will search through the many pages of information, check out our business supporters and above all....JOIN US!.
With our new website, we need to have everyone sign up so that you are an official SOB and receive our newsletter and alerts on special events. Its simple and easy to do. In keeping with the founding premise of the SOB, for over 35 years, we have continued the cause of keeping beach driving a part of our lives. In 1982 we stood on the streets protesting the ramp tolls, later we brought suit against the city of Daytona Beach for taking away night driving. More recently, and with your help, we raised over $75,000 for legal fees to challenge Volusia County Government for creating unlawful ordinances stripping away even more areas open to beach driving.
The Sons of the Beach, in 1984 and today in 2019 still standing guard watching over your rights to enjoy the traditions of the Worlds Most Famous Beach........
Sons of the Beach is an organization committed to keeping beach driving and the unique beach access it provides intact for Volusia County residents, for generations to come. Sons Of the Beach was created in 1984 as an organized effort to stop beach tolls. Over the years we have grown to combat the county's efforts to remove driving on the beach.
Your donations help us to fund our legal team helping us to fight to save our beach, our way of life, and beach driving.
